West Ancroft

After 2 months, we have decided to close the West Ancroft blog. I want to take this opportunity to thank all those people who have provided a comment. This was the first of its kind for our company so your comments on the successes or otherwise of this platform have been interesting and will play an important role in any future blog activity.

The decision to close was not made easily, but we do feel that it is at the end of its natural life. If the opportunity arises in the near future and we feel that a blog could offer further benefit to the local community then we would be happy to reinstate it.

Overall the blog has been successful in increasing discussion about the West Ancroft site itself and in some cases about wind farms generally. The most commonly asked question and discussions were around the photography and our use of it within the information sheet and at the public exhibition. Other topical questions were around the supply of handouts at the exhibition and also the specific locations of the turbines. We have tried on every occasion to answer these questions fully and comprehensively and more information will be updated on the West Ancroft site in the coming weeks

I can reassure you that whilst some people may have had issues submitting comments, we have made every effort to remedy the IT situation and hope that this has now been resolved. On notes that we have censored any comments this is certainly not the case. Our policy is to be open and honest and that was the purpose of the blog, we have no reason to omit comments unless they were derogatory or in any way offensive.

Our email address westancroftenquiries@eon-uk.com will remain open for anybody who would like to contact us directly or who have any further specific questions on the site.

Kind regards

Charley Rattan
